Waxing lyrically…

Went to a friend’s son’s 8th birthday today… not the most remarkable revelation for a Saturday morning, but what was remarkable was the fact that I remember this eight year old child as a newborn baby. *sigh* I immediately felt ancient… more so because I had come to the party with my own Mr 5 and his little brother Mr Almost-2, as well as Mr 5’s little 5 year old friend…

As I’ve been a bit slack lately on the blog, I thought this would be the perfect post to kick start it all off again… the post that reminisces about the past 8 years of my life. Well 8 years ago, Mr 5 was a mere future dream, my husband and I had just moved into our new house and were thinking of perhaps planning a wedding in our near future… I was working as a computer technician in the high school I went to, which has the effect of keeping the allusion of youth (after all, if you are surrounded by people who remember you as a child… you can’t help but feel like that again… well, that might just be me)

These things have a way of snowballing, and here I am eight years later, mother of 2, working in my dream job saving lives… about to start a Masters… here’s to another eight exciting years, oh and Happy birthday Mr 8!
