Māori Television, now officially known as Whakaata Māori, is Aotearoa New Zealand’s national Indigenous broadcaster. Launched in 2004, it exists to promote te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and Māori perspectives through news, drama, documentaries, sport, and children’s programming, serving both Māori and non‑Māori audiences across the country. We were interviewed about our project to translate an Hour of Code tutorial into Te reo Māori
