PCTronix Onsite services

A small whānau-run computer company, initially based in a brick-and-mortar storefront in Onehunga, Tāmaki Makaurau.

The first version was built on an open-source (PHP) CMS called osCommerce. In fact, osCommerce seems to still be around! From 2002 until 2012, there was very little change made to the site, just adding more products and retiring old ones.

Using CSV uploads, the site was kept up to date by bulk uploading from suppliers’ price lists.

In 2012, as the company pivoted away from selling computer hardware to concentrate on managed services (what they do, to this day) The site was updated to a WordPress theme with the information presented in a much more static brochure-style site.

They’ve not added any more functionality since 2012, but in 2017, did a bit of an update with a moving carousel imager on the front

Since then, there have been minor changes to the look and feel. In 2021, they went with a full image homepage.

And most recently, in 2022, moved the website off of self-hosted to a WordPress.com hosting solution, which meant slight restrictions on the theme. But giving them a chance to update their look again.
