I was invited by Festival for the Future to take part in a super interesting panel on digital divide. By now, y’all will know that I’m passionate about fixing the inequity in Aotearoa, and a digital divide is both symptomatic of societal inequity, but also one of the root causes.
The panel had an amazing cast of people doing the same type of mahi, and the entire Festival was an amazing experience. If you have a chance to go, you should definitely check it out.
The other panellists were:
- Pera Barrett (Former product manager at BNZ Bank and Digital Equity Lead at Te Whatu Ora)
- Nu’uali’i Eteroa Lafaele (Co-founder & Director at Fibre Fale and DigiTautua, Forbes 30 Under 30, Software Developer at Xero)
- Elle Archer (Chair of the Māori Tech Association, Te Matarau)
- Jesse Armstrong (Co-founder and CEO at Vaka)
