Make Slackbot the pedant, so you don’t have to! I designed an inclusive language Slackbot to gently prompt reflection on word choices in everyday workplace conversations. The project explores how small, timely nudges can support more inclusive communication, encourage learning without shame, and help teams build awareness of bias while staying practical, lightweight, and human‑centred in fast‑moving digital spaces.

Girlboss Edge Mentor is a mentoring programme that connects young women with mentors who support their confidence, leadership skills, and personal development through shared experience, guidance, and encouragement. I was excited to be asked to be a mentor in 2020.

This is a research dissertation completed as part of a Master’s of Arts (Sociology) completed through Auckland University. I studied publicly available stories and news reports to gauge how the range of language enables rape culture.
