Those of you that follow me on twitter will know that while I have been excitedly looking forward to my North American Adventure (yes, Adventure, with a capital A) for a while, I have also been dreading the travelling part of the Adventure. Specifically a 14+ hour flight with Mr4.5 and Mr1.5.

Bittersweet Second Post from North America

happy-face-sad-faceSo, have had some highs and lows in the next few days… We made it to Portland and to the Microsoft Store there, and I was the proud owner of a shiny new Surface 😀

Then there was an awesome day of shopping at the biggest outlet mall I’ve ever been to! The Disney store was definitely a winner with the kids!

It’s not a sentence, it’s a full stop

Hakamada Iwao is on death row in Japan. Japan’s policy is to execute by hanging in secret. Prisoners are typically given a few hours notice, or none at all. Families are only notified after the execution has happened.

This means Hakamada has spent 43 years not knowing if today would be his last.
